Maybe The Three-Body Problem has left too deep a mark on me.
I find the whole setup of countries, nationalities, and borders unbearably boring.
I truly believe they will eventually be abolished, and that we are the sacrificed generation.
They are so boring that I might as well call them QWE.
When QWE is finally erased, who knows how far human technology will have enabled us to travel through space.
Perhaps interstellar travel will already be possible by then.
But for humans born into this age like us and still bound by QWE, Earth is the only map we are allowed to walk.
We look up at the sky, yet our feet remain on the ground, because between us and everything beyond Earth lies a vast barrier of time.
How hopeless that is. And yet, there is nothing we can do about it now.
BUT ON TOP OF THIS POWERLESSNESS, WHAT HAVE HUMANS DONE?
They have built yet more barriers on Earth itself.
How absurd.
